The Forest server hosting

For The Forest servers, it is recommended to have at least 2 GB RAM for small groups (up to 4 players). For larger servers (8–16 players), 8 GB RAM and a fast NVME drive are recommended.

In the Startup tab, find the Tree Regrowth Mode option and set it to either on or off>:

• on – 10% of trees will regrow each night when players sleep.
• off – Trees will not regrow.

In the Startup tab, find the Game Difficulty field and select your preferred difficulty level from the following options:

• Peaceful – No enemies.
• Normal – Standard difficulty.
• Hard – Higher difficulty level.
• HardSurvival – Very challenging gameplay with limited resources.

In the Startup tab, locate the Max Players field and enter your desired value, e.g., 10. Save changes and restart the server for the new settings to take effect.

Enemy health can be adjusted using server mods. By default, difficulty levels such as Hard and HardSurvival automatically scale enemy health.
