All NPCs in Enshrouded

In Enshrouded you will meet five different NPCs, ready to help you if you unlock them and bring them to your base. NPCs scattered around the map will help you craft items, structures and tools. In this article, we will discuss the list of characters you can meet while exploring the world of Enshrouded. You will also learn what structures will be unlocked after bringing the NPC to your base.

Blacksmith

Location: Ancient Vault – Blacksmith

Quest: Find the Sleeping Survivor

Oswald Anders (Blacksmith) is one of the five NPCs you will meet in the world of Enshrouded. If you want to recall him to your base, you will have to rescue him. To do this, go to the Ancient Vault, located north-west of the starting location. To reach your destination, you will have to cross a shrouded valley and defeat several enemies. Once the vault is cleared of monsters, approach the pod and free Blacksmith.

Once you have freed Oswald Anders, there is nothing stopping you from recalling him to your base. Its presence will allow you to become familiar with many types of craft methods, such as:

• Manual Crafting – this method will allow you to create items regardless of where you are (if you have the appropriate materials in your backpack)
• Blacksmith Crafting – in this case, Blacksmith will give you blacksmith plans that will show you how to create production and refinery structures
• Workbench Crafting – you will learn the plans thanks to which you can make stone and wooden blocks, various types of furniture, a hook or a glider

Alchemist

Location: Ancient Vault – Alchemist

Quest: Powerful Alchemy

Balthazar (Alchemist) is located northwest of the starting location. You’ll find it in the Ancient Vault, where you can easily get to it from the fast travel point (we recommend using a glider). Similar to rescuing Blacksmith, you will need to go to a crypt guarded by several scavengers. After defeating them, approach the capsule and free the Alchemist. Balthazar will provide you with many useful crafting recipes that will allow you to cast powerful spells. Among the recipes you will find:

• Health Potion – a mixture of mushrooms, berries and water, restoring 200 health points
• Alchemist Armor Set – a set of armor for this NPC that will provide you with greater mana bonuses and increase the probability of a magical critical hit
• Ice Bolt and Fireball – recipes that allow you to cast ice bolt and fireball spells

Carpenter

Location: Ancient Vault – Carpenter

Quest: Carpentry Assistance

Cade Hawthorn, one of the five craftsmen, will allow you to increase the comfort of your base. You will find it by heading east from the starting location (unfortunately, you will have to enter the shrouded area). To save Carpenter, you will have to enter the ancient ruins hidden under the shroud and defeat a number of dangerous monsters. After defeating the last specter, you will be able to save the carpenter and move to your base. Cade Hawthorn will unlock blueprints for you that cannot normally be found in the Workbench Crafting menu. They will allow you to create base improvements such as a chandelier, a fireplace and many others.

Farmer

Location: Ancient Vault – Farmer

Quest: Growing Stronger Together

Emily Fray (Farmer) is located north of Springlands. It is located in the Ancient Vault, which is accessed via a complicated path full of dangers. To reach it, you can use the hook and the Glider. You will need to plan your route wisely to avoid pitfalls such as spikes sticking out of the ground. When you finally reach the capsule, release the Farmer, which will allow you to use several useful features such as the ability to create seedbeds and agricultural soil. It will help you grow various types of necessary plants.

Hunter

Location: Ancient Vault – Hunter

Quest: Hunter Becomes the Hunted

Athalan Skree (Hunter) is located northeast of the starting base. After reaching the Ancient Vault, you will encounter several enemies in the form of bears and traps in the form of electric balls. After overcoming all obstacles, you will be able to release Hunter from the capsule. After bringing the character to your base, she will allow you to craft several useful items, such as Drying Rack and Wooden Arrows.
