How to configure spawn point on a Minecraft server

Header image

Spawn point is the location where players appear in the game world for the first time or after dying, provided they have not set a different point, such as a bed. In the Minecraft world, we can set the spawn point in several different ways. The first method allows setting the spawn point for all players at the current location of the person executing the command. It is also possible to set the point using chosen coordinates. Additional commands allow for more individualized configuration of this point for a selected player. In this article, you will learn how to set this location for all players or for individual units.

To be able to execute the commands, you must be OP on the Minecraft server. If you are not yet, use our guide.

  • Set the spawn point where you are:
/setworldspawn
  • Set the spawn point at specific coordinates:
/setworldspawn X Y Z
  • Set the spawn point to the location of the specified user:
/spawnpoint Username
  • Set the spawn point for the selected user at the location specified by the coordinates:
/spawnpoint Username X Y Z

We hope that our intuitive web interface has allowed you to configure your Minecraft server easily. If you want to ask us any questions, feel free to contact us via e-mail, ticket or live chat!
