This guide explains how to grant administrator permissions on a Project Zomboid server, both to yourself and to other players.
How to Give Yourself Admin on a Project Zomboid Server
The easiest way to give yourself administrator privileges is to use a command in the Project Zomboid server console. All you need to do is:
1. Go to the control panel and select the Console tab.
2. Enter the following command (replacing [username] with your username):
SetAccessLevel [userame] admin
Alternatively, you can:
1. Go to the control panel and select the Startup tab.
2. Find the Admin Password setting and enter the administrator password there.
3. Restart the server.
In this case, you will be able to log in to the server using the username admin and the admin password you set.
If you want to grant another person administrator privileges (or a lower role), keep in mind that there are five permission levels you can assign:
1. Admin
2. Moderator
3. Overseer
4. GM
5. Observer
