How to get Klei User ID
Klei User ID is a unique identifier assigned to a user’s account in the Klei Entertainment system. Having a Klei ID enables access to various multiplayer functions. Here’s how to obtain an ID:
1. Launch Don’t Starve Together game.
2. Once you are in a main menu, select “Account”.
3. You should be redirected to the “USER INFO”, where you should see details such as Klei User ID, Player ID etc. Copy your “Klei User ID”.
How to add an admin
Once you have your Klei User ID, you will be able to add it to the “adminlist.txt” file. Please refer to the following steps to learn how to do this:
1. Go to control panel and select your Don’t Starve Together server.
2. Navigate server files and follow this path:
/home/container/DoNotStarveTogether/config/server3. Once you are in a “server” directory, click “New File” option.
3. In the new file, paste your Klei User ID. If you want to add more than one administrator, remember to paste IDs in separated lines. Click “CREATE FILE” to be able to name the new file.
4. After clicking “CREATE FILE”, you will see a new window in which you should enter the file name (“adminlist.txt”). When you’re done, click “CREATE FILE”.
5. Go to the “Console” tab and restart your server.
