How to configure a Holdfast: Nations at War server

Configuration adapts server to individual needs of the owner and players. A person with access to server files can change almost all parameters, such as maximum number of players, password and many others.

If you want to configure your Holdfast: Nations at War server follow this guide:

1. Stop your server

Login to the server panel with your credentials. On the server list search for your Holdfast: Nations at War server and click on it – you should be redirected to the “Console” tab. Here you can click on the “Stop” button to stop your server.

2. Start basic configuration

Once you are in a server panel, change tab to the “Startup”. This tab contains the most important parameters of your server – you can change them without editing the configuration file. The table below shows all variables you can change in “Startup” tab.

Max Players	10	Set maximum number of players allowed on y our server
Server Password	–	Set server password
Map Name	Traininggrounds	Enter name of the map you want to play on (you need to paste map name correctly, for example Training Grounds = Traininggrounds, Desert Ruins = Desertruins)
Game Mode	ArmyBattlefield	Select game mode (you need to paste game mode name correctly, for example Army Battlefield = ArmyBattlefield, Army Siege = ArmySiege)
FPS Max	100	Set FPS limit for your server

3. Perform advanced configuration

If you are not satisfied with the server configuration performed in the “Startup” tab, nothing stops you from editing more advanced server elements. You can do this in the main configuration file of your server. First, go to the “Files” tab to access your server’s files. Follow this path to find the configuration file: /home/configs/serverconfig_default.txt

4. Restart your server

Now, it’s time to restart your server to approve all changes. come back to the “Console” tab and click on “Restart” button to restart your server.
