Installing mods on your Holdfast: Nations at Wat server can positively impact players experience. Modifications introduce new elements such as maps, units, weapons, vehicles and others, as well as new mechanics that add new functions to the game. All these new features make the gameplay more diverse and can reach a wider audience interested in your server.
If you want to install Holdfast: Nations at War mods follow this steps:
1. Find modification and copy its ID
To look for the best modifications, you can go to the Steam Workshop platform. If you view the modification using a browser, you can see its ID in the page link. Copy it as it will be necessary in the next steps.
2. Navigate serverconfig_default.txt file
To find this file you need to access your server’s files. In your browser, go to your server’s panel page, then log in with your credentials. Select your Holdfast server from the server list – you should be redirected to the “Console” tab.
Now, click on “Files” tab to access server files. Follow this path to find serverconfig_default.txt: /home/container/holdfastnaw-dedicated/configs/serverconfig_default.txt
Open this file.
3. Paste mod ID line into the file
Once you have opened your file, it’s time to paste appropriate line inside. Go to the end of this file and paste following line:
mods_installed <mod_ID>
Remember to replace <mod_ID> with recently copied number.
If you want to install more modifications, enter each ID in a separate line as in the image below:
4. Save changes
Once you have entered the ID of all your modifications, it is time to save your changes. Click the “SAVE CONTENT” button in the lower right corner of the window.
5. Restart your server
Come back to the “Console” tab and click on “Restart” button to restart your server.
If you want to activate previously installed mod follow this steps:
1. Access server files
Come back to the “Files” tab and open serverconfig_default.txt file. Paste following line into this file:
load_mod <mod_ID>
Remember to replace <mod_ID> with recently copied ID.
2. Save changes
Click on “SAVE CONTENT” button in the right bottom corner to approve changes.
3. Restart your server
Go to the “Console” tab and click on “Restart” button to restart your server.
