If you dream of starting your adventure anew, you can reset your Valheim worlds at any time. You can do this in two ways – by creating a new world without deleting the current one or by removing all the necessary files. In this guide, we will explain how to reset your world in a few simple steps using our intuitive control panel.
How to change server world
The first option will allow you to switch between different worlds without having to delete any of them.
1. Go to the control panel and select “Startup” tab.
2. Navigate “WORLD NAME” and enter a new name for the files.
3. Restart your Valheim server.
How to delete current server world
The next option will allow you to completely reset your worlds. This involves deleting files so that when you restart the server it will generate a new world.
1. Go to the control panel and navigate “Files”.
2. Follow this path:
/home/container/.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds_local
3. Delete all files with these extensions:
- .db
- .db.old
- .fwl
- .fwl.old
4. Restart your Valheim server
