Project Zomboid offers as many as four playstyles, dedicated to players with different levels of experience. Among them you will find:
- Survival – hardcore playstyle in line with the creators’ assumptions. Water and electricity will be turned off in 30 days, strong zombie hordes, often closed doors and houses equipped with alarms.
- Initial Infection – this is a scenario created for new, inexperienced players. There are plenty of resources waiting for you in the city, water and electricity will be turned off only after 6-12 months, zombies have not very developed senses.
- One Week Later – in this playstyle, the action of the game begins a week after the outbreak of the apocalypse. Players will face moderate hordes of zombies, coming to everything that catches their attention, water and electricity will be turned off after 2-6 months.
- Six Months Later – a playstyle for the most experienced players who will face a large horde of zombies with developed senses. The action takes place 6 months after the outbreak of the apocalypse, the water and electricity have been turned off, houses are cleared of supplies and cities are overgrown.
How to change playstyle
To change playstyles on the Project Zomboid server, join it as an administrator.
On the left side of the window you will notice several options, from which select “Admin”.
Go to “Sandbox Options”.
Here you will find four playstyles to choose from: Initial Infection, One Week Later, Survival and Six Months Later.
Select one of them, then click “Apply Preset” and “Apply Changes”.
