How to join an Unturned server

In this guide, you will learn how to join an Unturned server using the server list or a direct IP connection. We will show you where to find the server IP address and what to pay attention to when connecting to multiplayer gameplay. How to join an Unturned server with IP

1. Launch Unturned.

2. Once you are in the main menu, select Connect Directly.

3. Enter your server IP address and port, then click Connect.

4. Click Join.

How to find an Unturned server IP

To find your Unturned server address, you need to:

1. Log in to your control panel.

2. Go to the Console or Network tab, where the server IP address and port are available.

How to join an Unturned server via server list

1. Launch Unturned.

2. Once you are in the main menu, select Multiplayer.

3. Use the available filters (for example, by entering the server name) to search for your server.

4. Click Join.

Common Connection Issues

Sometimes issues may occur that make it impossible to join a multiplayer game:

Missing Game Server Login Token (GSLT)

Unturned requires a Game Server Login Token (GSLT) for the server to properly authenticate with Steam services and appear in the server list. Without a valid token, the server will not be visible in the list, and players will not be able to connect – even via direct IP.

Fix: Generate a Game Server Login Token on the Steam website, then go to our control panel, open the Startup tab, paste the token into the appropriate variable, and restart the server.

Version Mismatch

Both the server and the client must be running the same version of Unturned. If a client update is released and the server is not updated, players will not be able to join the game.

Fix: Go to our control panel, enable automatic updates in the Startup section, and restart the server.
