Sometimes, situations arise where it becomes necessary to take decisive action against players who violate the server’s rules. One of the most effective ways to do this is by banning the player, which will prevent them from accessing the server in the future. In this guide, I will explain how to identify a player using their UID and how to add them to the ban list on a DayZ server.
How to ban players
1. Access server files and edit ban.txt file.
2. On a new line, paste the UID of the player you want to ban, then save the file.
3. Restart your server.
You can find the player UID in your server’s console logs and in the DayZServer.ADM file (located in the profiles folder).
