7 Days To Die Honey – Places To Find And Uses

Honey in 7 Days to Die is a valuable resource that can significantly help with survival, especially during the early stages of the game. It is used for both healing and crafting, and its availability depends largely on world exploration. Knowing how to obtain honey and how to use it effectively can make everyday survival in the post-apocalyptic world much easier.

How to Get Honey in 7 Days To Die

There are many ways to obtain honey, ranging from visiting a trader to searching household medical containers. Below, you’ll find all available methods of getting honey in 7 Days to Die.

Visit Trader Rekt

The easiest way to obtain honey is by buying it from Trader Rekt. While it won’t always be available in his inventory, it’s worth checking regularly – especially during the early stages of the game when curing infection is critical. This is a fast and convenient option if you have spare dukes and don’t want to rely solely on exploration or farming.

Build an Apiary

An Apiary is a renewable source of honey that allows you to produce it passively over time, without the need for constant world exploration. Once built and placed, the apiary only needs to be supplied with flowers to start producing honey.

To craft an Apiary, you need 5 Beeswax, 100 Wood, 50 Nails, 10 Forged Iron, and 8 Duct Tape.
It can be fueled with flowers such as Chrysanthemum Flowers, Goldenrod Flowers, or Cotton Plants.

Harvest Tree Stumps

Honey can also be obtained by destroying tree stumps, which are commonly found throughout the world. When breaking a stump, there is a chance to harvest honey, but players should be careful – if honey is present, hostile bees may spawn and immediately attack.

By default, tree stumps have a 20% chance to drop honey, making them a reliable early-game source if you are willing to take the risk.

Reading Wasteland Treasures Vol. 1 provides an additional benefit: after unlocking it, there is a 5% chance to harvest honey directly from chopped-down trees, not just stumps. This makes honey farming more consistent over time, especially when gathering large amounts of wood.

Loot from Crates, Ambulances or Medicine Cabinets

One of the easiest ways to obtain honey is by looting ambulances, which can be found in cities and along roads. Since honey is treated as a medical item, it can appear alongside first aid kits, bandages, and other healing supplies.

Honey can also be found in medical cabinets, which commonly appear in houses, clinics, hospitals, and medical POIs. These containers are especially worth checking early in the game, as they may contain life-saving items, including infection treatments.

Another place where honey can be found is Pop-N-Pills crates, which are focused exclusively on medical loot. They are most commonly found in pharmacies and medical facilities, but can also appear in other buildings, and usually offer higher-quality loot than standard containers.
