Assetto Corsa is one of the most popular racing games, and having your own server gives you full control over gameplay, settings and race rules. In this guide, you will learn how to configure your Assetto Corsa server by adjusting key parameters using control panel, or alternatively, by using the Web Panel.
Configure your server via control panel
1. Go to control panel and select “Startup“. Here you can edit the most basic server variables:
| Auto-Update Server | Enables/disables the option to automatically download updates after each restart. |
| Server Name | The name of the server that will be displayed in the in-game server browser. |
| Max Clients | Maximum number of concurrent players. It should be less than or equal to the number of pitstops |
| Server Password | If set, players will be required to enter this password to join the server. |
| Admin Password | Password enabling use of administrator commands. |
| Web Panel | Enables/disables the ability to access the Web Panel. |
| Web Panel Password | Default password needed to log in to the Web Panel as admin. |
2. Go to the main configuration files and change the selected parameters. After editing, save the files.

Configure your server via Web Panel
An alternative and simpler option is configuring the server through the Web Panel, which allows for quick management of settings without the need to manually edit files. With it, you can easily adjust race settings such as track and car selection, session length, weather conditions, and qualification rules.
The Web Panel also enables modifications to additional parameters, such as the penalty system, driving assists, and basic gameplay rules. It is a convenient solution that allows for fast and intuitive server management without the need to use FTP or a text editor.
