Setting up your own BeamMP server is a great way to customize the multiplayer experience in BeamNG.drive. You can change maps, set the maximum number of players, give your server a unique name, and decide whether it should be public or private. How to configure server
1. Go to the “Startup” tab in the control panel and adjust the following variables:
| Variable | Descriotion |
| Version to Install | Here you can enter the server version you want to install. Remember to keep the appropriate version structure, i.e. v1.1.1, v2.2.2 etc. To install the latest version, leave “latest”. |
| Authentication Key | Here enter the authorization key for your BeamMP server, which you can generate on this page: https://keymaster.beammp.com/login |
| Max Players | Maximum number of players that can join a game. |
| Server Name | Your server name. Here you can enter a customized server name. |
| Private | Option that allows you to create a private/public server. Insert “false” to create a public server or “true” to create a private server. |
2. Edit the main configuration file to change the remaining variables:
/home/container/ServerConfig.toml
Here you can change settings such as the map, server description and more.
3. Restart server to apply.
