In Project Zomboid, watching television during the first days of the apocalypse can give players a significant advantage. The TV schedule includes several educational programs such as cooking, carpentry, and farming, which allow players to gain free skill experience without leaving the safety of their base.
Proper use of television helps develop key skills much faster, making early-game survival noticeably easier. However, TV broadcasts are time-limited, and once the power goes out, access to these programs is lost. This makes knowing the exact broadcast times extremely valuable and allows players to properly prepare their characters for the challenges of the apocalypse.
What is Life and Living in Project Zomboid
Life and Living is one of the television channels available during the early days of the apocalypse in Project Zomboid. It is broadcast on channel 203 and operates alongside other TV stations that mostly provide entertainment-focused content.
Unlike most other channels, Life and Living airs educational programs focused on practical survival skills and allows players to gain experience points without performing any actions in the game. Each broadcast covers a specific category such as cooking, carpentry, farming, fishing, or trapping, and the experience gained this way can be significantly increased by reading the appropriate skill books beforehand.
Unfortunately, the Life and Living channel is only available for the first nine days and stops broadcasting completely once the power shuts off.
How to Watch TV in Project Zomboid
To watch TV in Project Zomboid, approach a television and left-click on it. A menu will appear, where you can select Turn On to power the TV. If the sound is too quiet, increase the volume using the slider (keep in mind that louder sounds can attract zombies).
