Minecraft Pale Garden: Creaking Mob, Pale Oak and more!

Pale Garden is a mysterious, unique forest variant that stands out both visually and atmospherically from any previously known biome. It resembles an abandoned, enchanted garden — quiet, faded, and filled with moss and hanging growths. The biome typically generates within a Dark Forest, meaning it is surrounded by classic, dense woodland. This makes Pale Garden feel even more hidden and secretive.

The key features awaiting players include a new type of tree — Pale Oak, with pale, almost silvery wood that’s perfect for building dark or eerie structures, as well as Pale Moss, Pale Hanging Moss, and a new kind of flower. In the shadows lurks a new mob: Creaking, a creature that disguises itself as a tree and only attacks when no one is watching.

This place is unlike anything else in Minecraft — it offers a dark atmosphere that feels almost like something out of a horror story.

How to find Pale Garden biome

One way to find the Pale Garden is through exploration. The biome usually appears near the Dark Forest, so locating it shouldn’t be too difficult. To make things easier, you can climb to higher ground, where you’ll be able to spot the pale oak tree canopies more easily.

Another, simpler method is to use a command. Just make sure cheats are enabled and enter:

/locate biome minecraft:pale_garden

Creaking and Creaking Heart

Creaking is a new and unique mob that is undoubtedly one of the most unsettling creatures in all of Minecraft. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary tree — standing completely still and blending into the environment. When the player turns away and stops looking in its direction, the Creaking silently moves closer and attacks.

What makes it truly unique is its behavior. Unlike other mobs, it can’t be defeated in the traditional way. As long as its Creaking Heart remains intact, the Creaking is immortal. The Creaking Heart is a special block that generates inside certain Pale Oak trees. It emits a pulsing red light and resembles a beating heart.

To defeat a Creaking, you must first locate and destroy its heart. Creakings are most active at night or during thunderstorms, which adds to the eerie tension while exploring the dark and mysterious garden.

Eyeblossom

Eyeblossoms are one of the most intriguing and unsettling features found in the Pale Garden biome. At first glance, they look like ordinary white flowers, but upon closer inspection, their center resembles an eye. Eyeblossoms can be either closed or open, and their state depends on the time of day — they close during the day and open at night, emitting particles when they do. What’s more, they are able to communicate with nearby flowers, triggering a chain reaction as others open or close in response.

These plants generate naturally on grass blocks and Pale Moss. An interesting detail is that Eyeblossoms emit maximum light from the eye-like center when open, making them not only a visually striking decoration but also an excellent natural light source.

New Blocks and Materials

The Pale Garden biome introduces a wide range of unique blocks that enrich the world of Minecraft both visually and functionally. New plants, wood types, building materials, and decorative elements offer players endless possibilities for creating atmospheric structures and diving deeper into the game’s mechanics.

Pale Hanging Moss is a dangling vine-like plant that naturally generates beneath the leaves of Pale Oak trees. While it doesn’t grow on its own, it can be extended downward using bone meal. Pale Moss Block is a bright, mossy ground block that also comes with a surface layer — Pale Moss Carpet. When placed near other blocks, the carpet can spread across their solid faces, growing up to two blocks in height. You can use bone meal on it to make it fully cover all adjacent surfaces.

At the heart of the Pale Garden are Pale Oak trees, which provide a distinct light-toned wood. This wood can be crafted into a variety of items such as doors, fences, stairs, and full wood blocks. One of the most interesting new materials is Resin. After destroying a Creaking Heart, Resin Clumps appear in its place. These can be collected and processed into Blocks of Resin.
