The long-awaited version 0.5.0 update for Palworld, developed by Pocketpair, brings a wealth of new features, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes. The most significant addition is full crossplay support, but the patch also introduces several new systems and quality-of-life enhancements.
Full Crossplay Now Available
The update enables crossplay functionality across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms, allowing players to explore and play together regardless of their chosen system. This is a major step toward unifying the Palworld community and expanding the multiplayer experience.
Enhanced Pal Storage Options
Version 0.5.0 introduces the Global Palbox, which allows players to store Pal data and transfer their Pals between worlds. Complementing this is the Dimensional Pal Storage, a new system offering ten times the storage capacity of a standard Palbox. It can be accessed by guild members and configured for personal use with privacy settings.

Customization & New Utility Features
The newly implemented Cosmetic Armour System lets players change the visual appearance of their gear without affecting stats. This feature is available via the Antique Dresser. In addition, the Photo Mode, accessible through the Pal Command Wheel, allows players to hide the UI and move the camera freely to capture high-quality screenshots.
A Drafting Table has also been added, enabling players to combine lower-rarity blueprints into higher-rarity ones. Moreover, dedicated server support is now available for macOS, broadening access for Mac users.
Gameplay and Building Enhancements
The update introduces improvements to building mechanics, such as allowing construction even if structures overlap with Pals and automatically aligning connected foundations and roofs. Assigning an Ice-type Pal to the Flea Market now slows item decay, and torches have been added at dungeon entrances for better visibility. Players can now sit on chairs and cushions, and NPC behavior during conversations has been improved.
Game Balance Adjustments
Rewards from elemental chests have been updated: Dog Coins are now guaranteed, with a small chance of dropping work suitability books. Experience gained from defeating the Attack Chopper has been increased, and the DPS of flamethrowers has been boosted. Default attacks for Electric and Dark Pals have been rebalanced to better align with other elements.
Some human NPCs now have work suitability and animations when assigned base tasks. Raid bosses no longer damage other player bases, and the Dumud Pal has been updated with a Water attribute. NPC event rewards have been adjusted, and all conversation logs have been reset to allow players to claim the updated rewards again.
UI Improvements
The UI has seen a variety of enhancements: Favorites are now divided into three groups (Favorite 1, 2, and 3), continuous value adjustments are possible in the Pal Soul Enhancement interface, and a new sorting option has been added to the Palbox for work suitability level. The update also introduces Fullscreen Mode and an “Extra Large” font size option.
Achievements and Bug Fixes
Several new achievements have been added to the game. The patch also resolves a wide range of bugs, including:
- Players being launched into the air while climbing or riding flying Pals over water
- Incorrect targeting of the Black Marketeer and Medal Merchant when commanding Pals
- Bounty Tokens with identical passive effects not stacking properly
- Pals getting stuck on feed boxes on dedicated servers
- NPCs attacking players through walls
- Criminal activity not registering from certain NPC interactions
- And many other minor fixes
