BeamMP is a popular modification that enables multiplayer gameplay in BeamNG.drive. However, multiplayer is just the beginning – the real fun starts when you add your own modifications to the server, such as new vehicles and maps. These mods can enhance the gameplay, allow you to organize races on custom tracks, test realistic simulations with different car models, or simply explore new locations with friends. In this guide, I will explain in a few simple steps how to install modifications on your BeamMP server.
How to install mods
If you haven’t found the modifications you want to upload to your server yet, you can use many sources, including the official BeamNG mods page: https://www.beamng.com/resources/
Installing the modification on the BeamMP server is extremely simple and requires just a few steps:
1. Go to control panel and select your BeamMP server.
2. Navigate server files and follow this path:
/home/container/Resources/Client3. Click “Upload” to upload the .zip files of the selected modifications.
Uploading a .zip file larger than 100MB will not be possible from the control panel. In such a case, please use the SFTP method. Use your favorite program and log in using the data found in the “Settings” tab.
4. Restart server to apply.
